Written review

Customer-app measurement review

A written map of what a live Malaysian telecom customer app actually counts, compared with the journeys that lose reload, bill pay, and roaming pack sales.

Customer completing a payment at a counter while holding a phone

Duration

Three to four weeks for one live build

Where we work

Remote review plus one optional sitting in Johor Bahru or Kuala Lumpur

Fee basis

From RM 18,500 per app

Prepared for

App product, digital channel, and the person who owns prepaid or postpaid self-care

This is the flagship piece of work. It is for the operator that already has a customer app in the stores — not a concept, a build that prepaid and postpaid people open when the balance is low, the bill looks wrong, or a roaming pack is needed before the causeway.

Who it is for

App product managers, digital channel leads, and the commercial owner of prepaid reload or postpaid self-care. Typical sponsors sit in Malaysia, often with a mix of Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Chinese screens in the same binary. We are not a fit if you need someone to write code inside the app, run paid user acquisition, or sell a measurement product you would log into every morning.

What you leave with

A review document that names screens, events, and gaps. It states where a reload confirmation is counted twice, where a bill-pay success never fires on a particular Android range, and where the Bahasa path skips an event that the English path still sends. It ends with a short list of changes the current team can make in the next two sprints, plus the items that wait on a vendor or a core billing change.

Scope

One live customer app, one operator brand. We cover the journeys that actually move money or stop tickets: SIM or account login, prepaid reload, postpaid bill view and pay, roaming pack purchase, outage or maintenance notices, language switch, and the help or chat entry. We do not audit the radio network, the billing engine, or a separate fibre TV app unless you commission that as extra work.

Included

  • A kickoff sitting (video or in Johor Bahru) to agree the journeys and the devices you care about.
  • Access checklist for event catalogues, store listings, and a small set of test accounts.
  • A first-pass event map against the agreed journeys.
  • Two device walkthroughs on hardware that matches what your stores actually sell, not only flagship phones.
  • A written review and a readout with product and channel.

Excluded

Implementation inside the app, crash-reporting licences, media buying, mystery shopping of retail stores, and legal advice on MCMC notices. If a gap needs engineering, we describe it; we do not merge the fix.

Who does the work

Aisyah Rahman leads the review. Wei Jie Tan walks the event map. Priya Nair reads store listing copy and first-week retention when those sit inside the same brief. You meet the same three people on the readout.

Process

  1. Brief and access: you name the app, the journeys, and who can grant test accounts.
  2. Map: we match events to screens, including Bahasa, English, and Chinese paths if they exist.
  3. Walkthrough: we complete reload, bill pay, and roaming on agreed devices, noting where the count and the screen disagree.
  4. Write: the review is drafted, then read out. You may ask for one round of factual correction on event names and screen labels.

Duration and place

Three to four weeks after access is granted. Most of the mapping is remote. One half-day sitting can be held at Office 7, 27 Test Avenue, Johor Bahru 00000, or at your office in the Klang Valley if you prefer.

Preparation

Please provide: a current event catalogue or equivalent export, store listing text in each language, two test prepaid and two test postpaid accounts, and a list of the Android and iOS versions that still matter in your base. If chat or IVR is linked from the app, say so; we will note whether those taps are counted.

Constraints

We cannot complete the review if test accounts cannot reload or pay a bill in a non-production environment. We will not use live customer credentials. Coverage of a second brand or a white-label partner app is a separate engagement.

Fee

From RM 18,500 for a single live app with the journeys listed above. Extra language paths beyond three, or a second operating system family that needs its own walkthrough set, are quoted before we start. A fifty percent deposit confirms the slot.

Next step

Write to us with the app name, the journeys that hurt this quarter, and whether you want the optional Johor sitting. We reply within two working days with dates and a firm fee.
